Warm Congratulations on PM16 Startup in Zhejiang Shanying

When spring comes round again, the earth isteeming with life. On February 16, 2023, a day full of joy and hope, thecommissioning ceremony of Shanying International’s Paper Industry GreenBenchmark Ten-billion Recycling Base Project was grandly held on the PM16 sitein Zhejiang Shanying.

Zhan Limin, member of the StandingCommittee of Haiyan County Party Committee and deputy county governor, ZhangJianfeng, secretary of the Party Working Committee and director of theManagement Committee of Development Zone (Xitangqiao Subdistrict), ZhangZhihua, deputy secretary of the Party Working Committee, deputy director of theManagement Committee and subdistrict office director of Development Zone(Xitangqiao Subdistrict), Lian Qiaoling, managing director and specialassistant to president of Shanying International, Chen Yinjing, COO of ShanyingInternational, You Zhi, CDO of Shanying International, Zhan Zhengfeng, generalmanager of APAC Paper BU of Shanying International, Feng Junxian, executivegeneral manager of APAC Paper BU of Shanying International, Liu Wenming,general manager of Anhui Shanying, Zhuang Jianfa, chairman of ZhejiangMaterials Industry Shanying Thermal Power, Fang Min, general manager ofZhejiang Shanying, Jiang Bo, executive vice general manager of ZhejiangShanying, Liu Jingwei, vice president of Valmet China and heads of the countygovernment and relevant institutions (departments) at the county level wereinvited to attend the ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Fang Min,general manager of Zhejiang Shanying.

Madam Lian Qiaoling, managing director andspecial assistant to president of Shanying International delivered a speech andwarmly welcomed the leaders and guests present. Madam Lian said that in thefuture, Shanying will continue to rely on the high-quality platform set up byHaiyan government, focus on industrial structure adjustment, environmentalsustainability, and ecological diversity, cope with climate change, keep afoothold on its advantages in energy and resources, and adhere to achievingstability before making breakthroughs, so as to move toward the target of“reaching peak carbon emissions before 2030 and carbon neutrality before 2060”proposed by President Xi Jinping and create a green label for Shanying brand.

Mr. Zhang Jianfeng, secretary of the PartyWorking Committee and director of the Management Committee of Development Zone(Xitangqiao Subdistrict) made a statement. He said that Haiyan EconomicDevelopment Zone will always adhere to the concept of "everything forinvestors", and the principle of "sincere cooperation, perfectservice, mutual benefit and development" to fulfill “leaving nothing tothe chance and responding to every request” fully support Shanying’s project tobe deeply rooted the development zone and grow bigger and stronger. Meantime,Shanying is expected to do a good job in production management and marketingwhen the operation starts, release production capacity as soon as possible, andmake greater contribution to the high-quality development of Haiyan EconomicDevelopment Zone with practical actions.

Subsequently, Mr. Zhan Limin, member of theStanding Committee of Haiyan County Party Committee and deputy county governormade an important speech.

The county governmentwill continue to create the optimal environment for enterprises to achieveinnovative, sustainable and leading development with the best quality serviceand the strongest guarantee. Shanying is also expected to exert the utmostefforts with firm confidence and speed up the project advancement to achievedesign capacity and great outcomes, so as to make greater contribution to thehigh quality economic development of the county.

Finally, leaders on the stage jointlyunrolled the scroll to open a new chapter and conclude the ceremonysuccessfully.

As an important part of ShanyingInternational’s Paper Industry Green Benchmark Ten-billion Recycling BaseProject, 770,000-ton green high-grade packaging paper upgrading project inZhejiang Shanying was grandly held today. The completion of the project willstrongly promote the rapid economic development of Haiyan County andsurrounding areas.

Mr. Wu Mingwu, Chairman of ShanyingInternational Holdings Co., Ltd, on behalf of Shanying International, extendedhis warmest congratulations on the successful startup of PM16 and issued aneffusive letter of congratulations.

On August 27, 2020, the ground breakingceremony of Paper Industry Green Benchmark Ten-billion Recycling Base Projectof Shanying International was officially launched with a focus on theconstruction of 770,000-ton green high-grade packaging paper upgrading projectin Haiyan County, Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province. It is composed of PM16 andPM17 production lines. With a net paper width of 8.6 meters and a running speedof 1200 meters/min. PM16 will deliver an annual output of 420,000 tons oflight-weight high-strength kraft paper while PM17 will annually produce 350,000tons of high-quality multifunctional paper. The supportive facilities for30,000 cubic meters/day sewage treatment and warehousing will also be built.Upon the completion of the project, the annual production capacity of ZhejiangShanying will reach 2.37 million tons.
